Hey farmers! Farming and agriculture is a life style and one that is very important. Food is an essential staple of life and you need it to survive. That's why we need you!
Farming is a big part of our citizens lives and it could be yours too. So come to New York!
We have rich, fertile soil, that is crucial for good crops. We can produce lots of crops and you can sell off your extras and make profit and support your family.
We grow corn, squash, beans, wheat, rye, and barley. Summer crops included potatoes, melons, cucumbers, runner beans, beets and carrots. In the colder months we grow green vegetables, broad beans and peas. We also grow herbs for cooking like sage, rosemary, thyme and chives and also herbs that are used for medicine ( comfrey, garlic, valerian, and elecampane). The weather of New York is well suited to the farming, as our winters aren't harsh. All these crops can be used for daily life, but if you're one of those profit-seekers, produce like squash and herbs are great for trade! The New England Colonies welcome the exported produce, as their winters and soil are not suited to the conditions.
